Garrettsville once was home to a grand structure known as The Opera House, but sadly due to financial issues it closed its doors and is now only a memory. Do not let amateur theater become a memory of the past. Support amateur theater and the performers that work so hard to make you laugh, sing and sometimes even cry. The plays and music will live on in your heart for years to come.

Amateur theater has been around for centuries; communities which offer a live theater flourish from the excitement that it brings. Today, amateur theater is found all over the world, involving thousands of performers and bringing in an audience of millions. Now this amazing event has started in Garrettsville. Garrettsville Curtains Up Theatre opened its doors in July 2006 as a not-for-profit company. During the past year and a half the theater has been raising funds to bring live theater to Garrettsville and all the surrounding communities.
